Long Beach Tech Meetups Connect Residents to Aerospace, Energy, Health Innovations

Uncoded, a non-profit tech meetup organization in Long Beach, will co-host an ACT Day hacking event on July 30 for homelessness service organizations at the same time the LA Tech Mixer 2026 takes place at 6:00 PM in Santa Monica.
These gatherings occur as Long Beach positions itself as an aerospace hub known as Space Beach, home to the international headquarters of eight industry giants including Rocket Lab, Relativity Space, Vast and Jet Zero. The sector has drawn over $750 million in recent U.S. Defense funding and spans more than 7 million square feet of facilities that employ more than 4,000 workers daily in design, engineering and advanced manufacturing.

Uncoded runs Hack Nights from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Kennedy's Craft Kitchen & Cocktails, while WE Labs at 235 E. Broadway Suite 800 holds recurring Friday events at 1:00 PM that include Tech Support and networking sessions for founders, freelancers and tech professionals. Tech by the Beach organizes talks and informal networking for software developers and data scientists, including a September social at ISM Brewery.
Long Beach Tech Week, scheduled for September 23-25, covers logistics, aerospace, clean energy, health tech and blue tech, drawing founders, investors and tech experts to discuss applications that reach everyday city services and employment.
Support programs back startup growth
The Long Beach Accelerator has helped 37 companies raise over $20 million and hire more than 120 employees, with a goal to bring 100 diverse startups to the city. The city launched the Launch Beach coalition and a $25 million Long Beach Venture Fund to support 100 new diverse early-stage technology startups.
SpinLaunch, a Long Beach-based aerospace startup, recently raised $30 million to advance its Meridian Space satellite constellation and orbital accelerator facility. Anduril Industries is building a new $1 billion campus expected to have 5,500 employees by mid-2027.
