Culver City Schools Invest in Athletic Programs With New Facilities

Culver City High School posted a 2025-26 season in which 21 of 23 teams reached CIF Playoffs, with the boys volleyball and baseball squads claiming CIF titles for the first time.

Local school sites supply the training spaces that allow teams to prepare for CIF and state competition. The same buildings also host youth instruction, linking daily use by high school athletes with programs for younger players.

Championship Results Tied to Field Access

The boys baseball team defeated Kaiser 9-8 to win the CIF-SS Division 5 title on May 31, 2026, at LoanMart Field in Rancho Cucamonga. The girls softball team beat Rancho Cucamonga 5-4 in an at-large play-in game and moved into the CIF Division 3 first round against Norwalk. The girls soccer team reached the State Playoffs for the first time in school history and traveled to face top-seeded Mission Oak in the State Regional Division 3 tournament. Each result followed preparation at Culver City facilities before travel to those sites.

Those outcomes rest on repeated access to indoor and outdoor spaces at Culver High and Culver Middle. Without consistent venue time, the number of playoff qualifiers and first-time titles would not have occurred in the same season.

Youth Sessions Scheduled at Same Sites

Youth volleyball tryouts and skill instruction for girls ages 10-14 will begin in September 2026 at Culver High and Culver Middle. The sessions extend the same infrastructure already used by the high school programs. Families can register through the city recreation channels listed on culvercity.gov for the fall schedule.

Coaches and players who used the buildings during the 2025-26 school year will see the facilities return to multi-age use once the new academic year starts. That continuity keeps the same fields and courts available for both championship-level teams and introductory skill work.
